
Let’s add some Punjabiyat and Spice to the grilled corn on the cob this monsoon. Corn On the Cob grilled to perfection and rubbed with Punjabi Pickle Spice Mix prepared at home , cooked in Mustard Oil.
Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Grilling Time: 6 to 8 minutes
Serves: 4
Ingredients and Quantity:
For the Grilled Corn on the Cob:
Corn on the cob- 4 nos.
Butter , room temperature- 4 tbsp.
Lemon juice 2 tbsp.
Salt -to taste
For the Rub:
Punjabi Achari Masala (Punjabi Pickle Spice Mix)- 4 tsp.

Mustard Oil- 4 tbsp.
Method:
To prepare the rub:
In a small deep pan, heat Mustard oil till smoking point / till it smokes.
Remove from the flame and cool it down completely;
Reheat the Mustard oil. Switch off the flame and add the Punjabi Achari Masala and mix well, ensuring that it does not burn.
Cool it completely and set aside.
For the Grilled Corn on the Cob:
Preheat the grill to medium high heat.
Place each cob on the grill, husk pushed towards the stalk end and grill it for approx. 6 mins, turning every 2 mins to char the sides evenly.
To Serve:
Apply the prepared Rub on the grilled corn on the cob.
Serve very hot with a Cutting Chai.
