Dry Fruit Tea (Caffeine Free)

This Caffeine free tea is a great immunity booster….prepared by steeping decaffeinated organic green tea, dried figs Apricots, raisins and almonds in boiling water. It is completely Sugar free has a fantastic flavour of cinnamon.


Preparation time including boiling of water:
10 to 15 minutes
Steeping Time: 5 minutes
Serves:2

Ingredients and Quantity:

Decaffeinated organic green tea bags- 2
Figs, dried, chunks-1/2 tbsp.
Apricot, dried, chunks- ½ tbsp.
Raisins-1/4th tbsp.
Almonds- 1/4 th tbsp.
Cinnamon stick- 1
Boiling/ Hot water- 2 ½  cups
Method:
In a teapot add the chunks of figs ,apricot Raisins and Almonds.
Add the cinnamon stick. Place the green tea bag.
Add boiling water.
Let it steep for 05 minutes. Remove the tea bag and discard.
Strain and pour into tea cups.
Enjoy this hot caffeine free tea.

Chef Tips:
1. If you want the tea to be sweet add  01 tsp of organic honey or more as desired.
2. You may add a few drops of fresh lemon juice, if desired.
3. You may add black peppercorns along with holy basil and dried ginger for the infusion.
4. Steeping is a process where the flavors are extracted from the ingredients in to the boiling water, by simply adding the ingredients to boiling water.
