Delectable and mouth-watering, this Épinards au Gratin is simply perfect for all the cheese lovers!!!!!!!

Ingredients and Quantity:
Spinach, rinsed, drained and chopped- 750 gm.
Onion, finely chopped- 01 no.
Extra Virgin Olive Oil- ½ tbsp..
All-purpose Flour- 1 ½ tbsp.
Milk- 3/4th cup
Heavy cream- 1/4th cup
Butter, melted- 1 ½ tbsp.
Breadcrumbs- ½ cup
Parmesan Cheese- 1/4th cup
Salt- to taste
Freshly ground black pepper- 1/4th tsp
Thyme, dried- 1/4th tsp.
Preheat the oven to 350° F and lightly butter a gratin dish.
Heat olive oil in a non-stick heavy bottomed pan, add onion and sauté for 5 minutes. Add the flour and mix with a whisk and cook for 40 to 50 seconds.
Add salt, pepper, thyme and spinach. On a low flame let it cook for 3 to 4 minutes.
Add milk and heavy cream into the spinach mixture.
Put the entire mixture in to the Gratin dish. Add the melted butter, bread crumbs and cheese.
Sprinkle the breadcrumbs over it.
Bake the spinach gratin in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes, until it is the breadcrumbs have turned golden brown.
