Kalakand –Low Calorie

A variation to the traditional, rich and delectable sweet prepared for people who are calorie conscious, with fresh cottage cheese, skimmed milk powder and low fat cream with the addition of stevia and flavored with green cardamom powder.

Preparation Time: 10 minutes

Cooking Time- 10 to 15 minutes

Serves- 6 to 8

Ingredients and Quantity:

Cottage Cheese, fresh, home-made- 400 gm

Milk Powder, Skimmed- 400 gm

Cream, Low fat- 500 gm.

Stevia- 1/ 16 th tsp. / as desired

Saffron, Broiled- ¼ th gm.

Green Cardamom Powder- ¾ th tsp.

For the Garnish:

Pistachio nuts, chopped- 2 tsp.

Almonds, chopped- 01 tsp.

Method:

In a heat-resistant / microwave proof glass bowl, mix cream and milk powder thoroughly.

Heat the mixture for 02 minutes in a microwave.

Add Stevia and heat it again for 05 minutes.

Remove from the microwave and set aside to cool.

Now add paneer, green cardamom and saffron.

Set it and cut it into desired shapes.

Serve garnished with Pistachio nuts and almonds.
