Spicy Chicken Burger with Oven tomato, Lettuce, Gherkin Pickle, Cheddar Cheese and French fries.

Cooking Time- 15-20 minutes

Ingredients and Quantity:
For Chicken Patties:
Indian Chicken Curry paste- ½ tbsp.
Chicken, minced- 300 gm.
Dried bread crumbs, fine- 45 gm.
Onion, finely chopped- 01 no.
Egg, lightly beaten- 01 no.
Fresh coriander, finely chopped- 01 tbsp.
Freshly ground black peppercorns-01 tsp
Salt-to taste
For shallow frying:
Olive oil- 01 tbsp.
Other Ingredients:
Burger buns, halved- 04 nos.
Mayonnaise – 02 tbsp. for applying
For the Filling:
Lettuce leaves, trimmed to fit the burger bun- 04 nos.
Tomatoes, thinly sliced- 02 nos.
Cheddar cheese, slices- 04 nos.
Accompaniments:
Ice berg Lettuce / Any lettuce leaves available-12 nos.
Oven Roasted tomato slices- 04 nos.
Pickled gherkins- 100 gm.
French fries, fried- for serving
Method:
In a large glass bowl, combine chicken mince, curry paste, onions, breadcrumbs, eggs and coriander, ground peppercorns & salt. Mix well.
Shape mixture into 04 patties of 1 cm (½” thickness). Heat olive oil in a non-stick pan on medium heat. Pan fry patties on each side for 05 to 08 minutes or until patties are cooked.
Apply Mayonnaise on the burger buns, which are cut into halves horizontally.
Serve warm on burger bun with lettuce, tomatoes and cheese accompanied with Ice berg Lettuce, Oven Roasted tomato slices, pickled gherkins & Fried French fries.
Chef Tips:
Place the lettuce in Ice cold water / Chilled water so that it remains crisp.
