{"id":6069,"date":"2017-10-21T03:12:44","date_gmt":"2017-10-21T03:12:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chefreetuudaykugaji.com\/blog\/?p=6069"},"modified":"2017-11-22T04:52:22","modified_gmt":"2017-11-22T04:52:22","slug":"baked-cocktail-kachori","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chefreetuudaykugaji.com\/blog\/2017\/10\/21\/baked-cocktail-kachori\/","title":{"rendered":"Baked Cocktail Kachori"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Non-fried version of\u00a0Kachori ,pamper yourself with the goodness of protein of moong dal without getting worried about the calories of the deep-fried snack.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Preparation Time-<\/strong> 15 minutes<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cooking Time-<\/strong> 10 minutes<\/p>\n<p><strong>Baking Time:<\/strong> 18-20 minutes<\/p>\n<p><strong>Baking Temperature-<\/strong> 180\u25e6C \/ 360\u25e6F<\/p>\n<p><strong>Makes-<\/strong> 25 nos.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients and Quantity:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>For the dough:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Whole wheat flour- 3\/4<sup>th<\/sup> cup<\/p>\n<p>Extra Virgin Olive Oil- 02 tsp.<\/p>\n<p>Salt -to taste<\/p>\n<p>Water- as required<\/p>\n<p><strong>For the Filling:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Split yellow gram, soaked overnight- \u00a0\u00bd \u00a0cup<\/p>\n<p>Extra Virgin Olive Oil- 02 tsp.<\/p>\n<p>Carom seeds- 1\/4<sup>th<\/sup> tsp<\/p>\n<p>Cumin seeds \u2013 1\/4<sup>th<\/sup> tsp<\/p>\n<p>Fennel seeds , coarsely ground- 1\/4<sup>th<\/sup> tsp.<\/p>\n<p>Sesame seeds, white- 1\/4<sup>th<\/sup> tsp.<\/p>\n<p>Asafoetida- a pinch<\/p>\n<p>Turmeric powder- \u00bd tsp<\/p>\n<p>Ginger paste- 1\/4<sup>th<\/sup> tsp<\/p>\n<p>Green chilli paste- 1\/4<sup>th<\/sup> tsp<\/p>\n<p>Honey- 02 tsp.<\/p>\n<p>Salt- to taste<\/p>\n<p>Extra Virgin Oil- 1\/4<sup>th<\/sup> tsp for greasing the baking tray<\/p>\n<p><strong>Method:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In a glass bowl, combine all the ingredients and knead into a soft dough using water as required. Divide the dough into 25 equal portions into 60 mm,\u00a0 1 \u00bd inch\u00a0 diameter into thin circles. Cover with a moist muslin cloth and keep aside.<\/p>\n<p>Drain the moong dal completely, now add\u00a0 45 ml water and pressure cook\u00a0 (01 Whistle)<\/p>\n<p>Heat Olive oil\u00a0 in a non-stick pan add\u00a0 carom seeds, cumin seeds, fennel seeds, sesame seeds, asafoetida, saut\u00e9 for 2 minutes add\u00a0 cooked moong dal, turmeric powder, ginger and green chilli paste, saut\u00e9 till the raw aroma disappears, add salt to taste.\u00a0 Remove from the flame add honey and mix well. Divide into 25 portions and set aside.<\/p>\n<p>Place the rolled puri on the palm , place the filling in the centre , close and give it a round shape. Prepare the other kachoris in a similar way \/ fashion.<\/p>\n<p>Place the kachoris on a greased baking sheet \/ tray keeping\u00a0 space between each kachori. Bake at 180\u25e6C (360\u25e6F) for 18 minutes.
