300 gm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tomatoes, quartered- 2 large<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Water -500 ml<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Salt -to taste<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For Grinding into a fine and smooth paste:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fresh coconut, grated- 2 cups<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Shallots, sliced- 12 nos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Garlic, peeled- 8 cloves<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Green Chillies- 4 nos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cumin seeds- 1 tbsp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Turmeric powder- 1 tsp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Salt -to taste<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For the Tempering<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Coconut Oil- 30 ml<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mustard Seeds- 1\/2 tsp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Shallots (Madras onion) , sliced &#8211; 10 nos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Whole dried red chillies- 4 nos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Curry leaves- 1 sprig<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Method:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Boil the drumstick pieces in water with salt, shallots in a deep pan for 5 minutes.<\/li><li>Now add the quartered tomatoes and for another 3 minutes. <\/li><li>Add the ground coconut paste and  water , if required. Cover and simmer for 5 to 6 minutes.<\/li><li>Add salt , if required.<\/li><li>In a tempering pan add and heat the coconut oil on a low-medium flame. Add the mustard seeds, let them crackle , add the  sliced shallots and whole dried red chillies. When the shallots turn brown, add the curry leaves.
